Hello Landport – Farewell Dave!
Tina (far left) & Katie (far right) from our Assessment team are pictured here visiting some of the top team from The Landport Housing office. We so value our working relationship and partnership with Housing Officers who refer neighbour disputes and problems to our service.
At the back you can see Dave, he is leaving his post after 20 years’ service with Portsmouth Housing. Everyone at PMS wishes Dave every success in his new season and we send him our heartfelt thanks for his great help and support over the years.
The PMS Assessment Service has signed up to the BIG idea of a ‘Restorative Portsmouth’ where its communities can enjoy peaceful lives. In all we do we are always seeking to work restoratively for the peace and prosperity of Portsmouth citizens. We use Restorative practice to prevent conflict, build relationships and repair harm by enabling people to communicate effectively and positively.
The Portsmouth Assessment Service is FREE and has been specifically designed for tenants and leaseholders of Portsmouth City Council (PCC). It’s the first step in a customer driven Housing Service process for dealing with neighbour nuisance and anti-social behaviour. It is also a route which may be accessed by neighbours affected by tenants and leaseholders of PCC. The service is confidential and focussed on neighbour nuisance and anti-social behaviour, not on other housing issues. We are often able to identify ways of resolving problems and it is of course a method for dealing with issues informally, without the need for official action (e.g., removal of tenancy, formal police intervention) Our Assessment Team have good conflict resolution skills and will discuss with tenants the various options available and help support them on the most appropriate way forward.
