Radian Community Safety Fund Supports PMS Covid 19 Response

We are delighted to announce that Radian Homes has invested £700.00 from its Community Safety Fund to help support Portsmouth Mediation Service in its front line work with problems exasperated by Covid 19.

PMS and Radian understand that some people are currently feeling frightened, isolated and often angry with others who do not seem to be following the rules and guidelines. For many fractured families this is a time of great stress and tension which can be compounded by local neighbourhood conflict and dispute.

Although we have obviously had to cease from all face to face meetings and conferences, our team have quickly adapted to initial meetings over the telephone and have been innovative in using the Zoom Conferencing platform to carry out mediation and restorative meetings. The PMS team is highly skilled in having difficult conversations with angry and stressed people and has been very successful over recent weeks talking through challenging situations with local residents – helping people to be heard can in itself be very healing.
